Has anyone else noticed an anti-Obama shift in CNN's broadcasts recently......or am I paranoid?

Suddenly, the network that raised very few questions about Bush & Cheney's run-up to the Iraq war, or the fiscal irresponsibility of hiding the costs of the wars from the budget, or called for heads to roll after Katrina...seems to be constantly questioning Obama.

One would almost think that CNN was afraid of the Bush administration (in re licenses, etc) but have no fear of the Dems playing dirty.

Am I right or just paranoid? (I do admit to not feeling comfortable watching the Saints/Vikings game last night..... because I just know that Brett Farve was talking about ME in the huddles!)

Is CNN the new Fox News? Is pink the new black? Does the Pope shit in the woods? Wolf Blitzer, Anderson Cooper, and Larry King? have you ever listened to the words coming out of their pie-holes? CNN isn't MSNBC, but they are certainly quite left of center.

I'd say you're paranoid, and possibly hallucinating, but I am not a doctor.

Do you mean is the liberal love affair over? I hope so. Maybe we can come back down to planet Earth and make some REAL progress.

    Why would you be paranoid?

I think they're just calling a spade a spade. Obama is just a continuation of Bush policies,

so, in that respect, I'm glad CNN is calling him out.

As far as being the new FOX News?

No, I haven't seen where they've really lied about anything pertaining to Obama like FOX does..

Perhaps its just demonstrating that they are trying to be impartial and following what stories develop. I guess no one wanted to pick on President Obama early on when he was everyone's darling, but now that the honeymoon is over, everyone wants results... and that's when the media starts getting a little more nitpicky.

I guess you're right about not lying like Fox does....but what is angering me is their sudden courage to ferret out the truth from an administration, when they exhibited no such courage for the last 8 years.

Where was this news integrity/courage for the 8 years of the prior administration when they barely questioned the lies we were told about Iraq for example?

Also... I don't remember Wolfe Blitzer calling for heads to roll over Katrina, for example.....(maybe I missed it) But they sure want their pound of flesh now over the Detroit airline would-be bomber.

Just seems like "Yellow Journalism" to me! (Yellow meaning cowardly in this case....afraid they'd lose some corporate sponsors if they didn't join the flag waving crowd)

You're not paranoid, this is nothing new. Some inconvenient facts are occasionally allowed to pass through the filters in order to give the appearance of "objectivity," precisely so the media can deny charges of engaging in propaganda.

It could also be a case where those of us who lean conservative and those of us who lean liberal have different ideas on what would be impartial, each group being a little harder on the opposing group. So a truly impartial news program would never please most people. But of course, its just a thought not based in evidence.

I am reading all the time... but I don't keep track of where I am reading, so it could be FOX or MSN or Abdul's Discount News and Imported Persian Rugs.
