Can anyone give their opinion if the media should be censored or not? Be it racial, seditious, malicious or pornographic and the what-not content, should the information superhighway run free; print, television and, of course, the internet?

I am not sure you know what your trying to say here. Look the media is owned by the same thief's that own the government, therefore, since they are both ran by the same groups I believe it is fair to say that the media is state owned. Censorship is but one tool, add propaganda, and flat out lies, and you get ABCMSNCBSFOX all of them. You see there is very little differences in the sources for news in this country, and you had better see that. I am a life long Bircher, I have a slogan, believe nothing, investigate everything.
But let's look at this in a more global scale. Why do countries censor their media while some don't?
It is state run media. If not why can we not see the coffins that they unload from the planes of Iraq? Why do we not have equal access? Why do you have to have a license to broad cast over the airwaves? How come people are not allowed to see the horrors of war on the news shows? How come the media does not question the process when government has private meetings to decide how our money is to be spent? Yes it is state run, no doubt.
You can try and uncensor the media, which it should be, but you would be denied the opportunity to do so.
Good point, have you noticed that the countries that do not usually take a beating from our media and government. This boggles the imagination, I mean our media has the tightest restrictions, and they will tell you that agencies like Al Jazera have an agenda. If truth is an agenda then I guess they have. Most western countries are ran like ours therefore so is their prop...err media. BBC I guess would be a prime example of that.
