Haiti isn't required or necessary in order to conduct a Venezuelan mission. The Marines could do what ever they want and remain undetected until they landed without even trying that hard. Sheesh. It is the F-ing US Marine Corp we're talking about.



How did the earlier missions go? I didn't hear about them.

Chavez only got overthrown for 47 hours. Of course that was more of a politico-fiscal investment than a troop investment.



But I could argue that since that approach failed, they're going more direct.
