Joe "the Plumber": A McCain Plant!

Yes, it's all over the web now. Joe the Plumber is apparently related to Charles Keating.

I also heard this on the radio earlier.

The McCain campaign just keeps sinking lower and lower. Everything is fake in the McCain campaign.

    From TPM blog:

Turns out that Joe Wurzelbacher from the Toledo event is a close relative of Robert Wurzelbacher of Milford, Ohio. Who’s Robert Wurzelbacher? Only Charles Keating’s son-in-law and the former senior vice president of American Continental, the parent company of the infamous Lincoln Savings and Loan. The now retired elder Wurzelbacher is also a major contributor to Republican causes giving well over $10,000 in the last few years.

Does any of this make Joe the Plumber a bad guy? Of course not. In fact, after that ill-fated night at the Watergate, he may finally be giving plumbers a good name. But at a debate where John goes full bore on Obama for guilt-by-association with William Ayers (and dodges a bullet by Obama not mentioning Keating Five), the press is going to bring it back front and center by midday tomorrow once they delve deeper into the most popular plumber in America.

Re: Joe "the Plumber": A McCain Plant!

    From a Neesweek blog:
If Joe the Plumber thinks he can't afford to buy the business under Obama's tax plan then he really needs to consult a good accountant. Obama's plan lowers taxes on the first $250,000 Joe makes. On the money over $250,000, Joe would pay 39% under Obama, instead of the 36% he now pays. That's 3% more taxes, not exactly a break-the-bank if you have already made $250,000 at a low rate. Plus, Obama will give him a tax credit for every job he creates, and tax credits for every employee that he provides health insurance for. Under Obama's plan, Joe's business will pay LESS TAX than it does now.

McCain's plan will tax the first $250,000 at a higher rate, then drop the taxes on anything over $250,000 by an unspecified amount. McCain's plan does not give him a tax credit for every job he creates. If he provides health care for his employees he will now have to deduct yet another tax from their paychecks, adding administrative burden to his company. Not to mention that Joe will have to pay this tax himself on his personal income, which amounts to an extra $4,200 a year he pays in taxes (35% of the $12,000 a typical policy costs). And if his company does not provide health care, he and his employees will pay out of pocket for their health care (average cost $12,000 per year), get a $5,000 tax credit under McCain, but be out of pocket at least $7,000 per year for their policy.

My impression is that Joe really should stick to plumbing and leave tax policy to Obama.

Furthermore, Joe the plumber says that Obama has a "very socialist view of taxes" This statement shows America how very uninformed Joe Wurzelbacher is. I would love to hear Joe define socialism and describe the tax policies of a socialist nation. He would start to sound like Sarah Palin on Katie Couric. Nor does he seem to recognize that all democracies socialize certain functions: police, fire fighting, military, roads, public schools, sewers, water. This is for the greater good and we all accept it. It does not make us socialists.

In his book Audacity of Hope, Obama writes at length about the FAILURE of SOCIALISM. He enthusiastically states that American democracy is the greatest political system on earth. Obama is not a socialist, and he does not admire socialism.

Joe the plumber should stick to plumbing and leave public policy decisions to people who actually know what they are talking about.

Oh, and maybe Joe and his boss should get plumbing licenses. Apparently neither of them is licensed, in violation of both state and county laws.
Joe also ought to pay his friggin taxes, the state of Ohio put a tax lien on him in Jan 07.

Thank you Joe. Nobama had a major f'ing gaf. Think we got ourselves a game changer. The lefty in the tank for Nobama media are stepping all over each other to be heard. Did you see the Nobama on TV in NC. He said "what kind of plummer makes 250k?" with a snob elitest attitude and laughing under his breath. I think he lost some votes during that kodak moment.

Political Radar: Joe the Plumber: Obama Tax Plan 'Infuriates Me'

    Comment from ABC article:
In the final debate of October 15, 2008, Barack Hussein Obama talked more like Republicans George Bush and Herbert Hoover. Barack Hussein Obama related to growing the federal government, raising taxes and trade restrictions. Barack Hussein Obama says he is not repeating the last eight years of the Bush administration, but talks like President Bush. If Barack Hussein Obama becomes president, he says he will repeat the acts of Herbert Hoover (raising taxes and trade restrictions) that led America into the Great Depression.

John McCain and Sarah Palin have a much better understanding of how America can survive the financial crisis. John McCain and Sarah Palin do not talk like a George Bush and a Herbert Hoover.

You had better do some real thinking before you pull that lever.

This coming from someone who is voting for McCain. You know, Obama supporters tell me the same thing.

See, the thing is that both candidates are very similiar, on most issues. Take away the normal divisive election pandering (abortion, gay marriage, dumb issues that the feds have no business in) and you have essentially the same thing.

You mention socialism and Obama. I hate to tell you this, but McCain and the rest of his party are just as socialist. The nationalizing of the BANKING INDUSTRY is as socialist as you get.

So, primerib, I have done alot of thinking. I'm voting for neither. The two party system is a facade that gives certain parameters for what is a "valid issue". It keeps people pacified and from asking real questions.

You had better do some real thinking before you support either wing of the Republicrat party.

I'm still voting for Ron Paul.

You have got to be kidding but just incase your not...

This is about as sad and pathetic as it gets !

It was Obama's words of " spreading the wealth around " that started this turn in the polls, not "Joe the plumber's". He just asked a simple non-partisan question.

First of all who gives a shit who Joe the Plumber is or who he's related to ? Did he know that Obama was going to spout off his socialist rheoric at that given time ? Did he use some kind of Jedi Mind Trick on Obama to make him say what he absolutley believes in at the wrong time? Is Obama responsible for anything he says ?

Your saying the McCain camp some how caused Obama's slip and now is responsible for Obama being outed as the true socialist that he's always been ?

Christ man ! Look who's desperate now.

I'd like to know why he would misrepresent himself to be someone he's not, and if someone put him up to doing that. Current evidence shows it's probable.

I don't understand how Ayers is relevant, but all of a sudden Joe the Plumber is not, a complete 180 from 24 hours ago.
