I was a little bothered earlier today. I thought perhaps the Democrats have been able to hoodwink the American people into thinking the sub prime mortgage issue was at the hand of Republicans. But I looked at the best reflection of the situation can be had at RealClearPolitics. They average the major poll results. Today the average of polls has Obama up by 5.6 points. Gore and Kerry both were up by more than that in their bids for President. Dems have to overcome their disadvantage by the hand of the electoral college. Dems need several more points in a general polling to actually win in the election. Americans are smarter than one might think.
