    Macaca Moment For McCain?

Just as calling a reporter the racially derogatory name "Macaca" sunk Virginia Senator's George Allen's political career in August of 2006, did John McCain show his true, inner self by referring to Sen. Obama as "That One" during a jab at him in last night's debate?
What One???....Does the answer begin with an "N" I wonder???

The real "Macaca Moment" came when McCain forgot Oliver's name, and called him "Alan". As if, he were so unimportant he couldn't ever remember his name -

And then Obama jumped right in, and said, "Dude - OLIVER - let me tell you what's going on", and then answered his question in direct and simple terms -

And I mean, I was lovin' every minute of it. That moment there, SURELY was not lost on Black America. I was talkin' to my buddy in Philly about it, he noticed it - and even my mom, who's whiter than white, noticed it.

I don't see anything racist in the least about it. Face it, it came out of the mouth of a doddering old man. Look at McCain's family. I find it difficult to imagine that he has a problem with people's skin tone.

Really, especially when he is nice enough to even have the caretaker for his dog in his family picture!

Guess daddy forgot to teach you respect. Cindy McCain brought Bridget home from an orphanage ran by Mother Teresa in Bangladesh. Are you implying they raised this child for 16 years as a political stunt? Face facts, McCain does more for this nation and society as a whole by simply waking up in the morning than you are likely to do in your entire life.

Your statement is far more 'racist' than anything John McCain has ever said. If you can't wrap your small mind around an intelligent thought long enough to bring something beyond this dribble to the debate then why bother?

EDIT: Just felt I should add that I'm defending common decency, I still can't bring myself to vote for a man that chose Palin as his running mate.

desperation springs eternal.aways playing the race card. I am going to laugh when Obama goes home after he loses to this guy. I cannot think of anything more appropriate and satisfying. almost as satisfying will be hearing the excuses from you and others.

And I guess your daddy never taught you the how to tell the difference between what is a joke and sarcasm to boot. Yeah it was racist but the pic just kinda asked for it. Grow up tough guy, I think you can handle it.

You MIGHT be right, but I hear ignorant shit like that so often from people who mean it as a statement and not a joke that I am starting to lose my cool about it. If you really mean it as a joke, I appologize, but considering the current climate of this election, you might want to tag posts like that with the little :sarcasm: tag.

And btw, you have no idea how much pride I just swallowed to appologize to you. I think Im going to be sick. (5 minutes before Inky shows up to make a penis joke since I said 'swallowed')

I doubt that McCain has a racist bone in his body. He's a good, decent and compassionate man who doesn't see skin color.

He's also a grumpy old man who knows thast he's losing this election and who knows that this is his last chance at the Presidency. In short, he's become pissed off and frustrated by the inevitable.

No problem. My original comment was undoubtedly rude and racist. If you didn't hear the inflection (and I guess thats hard to get across with a keyboard) I suppose it's easy to take it as you did, my apology as well.

As far as Inky and the upcoming penis joke, I can't help ya.
