No, and what difference does the size of the Iraqi army in late 2001 make to this argument?

Sectarian violence and terrorist activities was responsible for the bulk of collateral civilian deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan. Thos instances of coalition misuse of force have been investigated and arrests have been made.

I think you have finally flipped. We are responsible for the deaths since the invasion. We are there illegally.

I still do not see where I did not say they weren't thugs..here is what I did say, now try to read the words..I agree that Russia has been heavy handed in Chechnya,
So again tour wrong, you must get extra points for that!

We're not responsible for all of the deaths post invasion. As I've said, terrorism and sectarian violence accounts for the bulk of civilian collateral deaths. Trying to infere that the coalition is responsible for every death simply because we're in Iraq is foolish and irresponsible Mike.

You apparently haven't a reasonable counter argument Mike, just the usual watery insult and I hate the US rhetoric. So let's get back on topic, shall we?

Biden's foreign policy expertise combined with Obama's foresight and leadership will definitely solidify our alliances, especially in the former Soviet republics.

So why didn't Biden, with all his foreign policy "expertise", seem to be aware of the acknowledged fact that his close buddy Mikheil Saakashvili ordered a SNEAK ATTACK on South Ossetia intended to provoke Russia?

Isn't it interesting how seamless Bourne's transition is between Obamaniac and Bush apologist?

Because Georgia's action wasn't a "sneak attack" designed to provoke Russia. Indeed, Russia's response was calculated an disproportionate.

U.S. official: Russia's attack on Georgia is 'disproportionate' - CNN.com

I hate to insult the bipolar people but I think Bourne fits that category.

So we can safely ignore the record of historical FACT because some unnamed Bush "official" claimed Russia's DEFENSIVE response was "disproportionate?" Sinking to new lows on the logic scale, Bourne.

However I can see why you would trust these "officials," since the Bush administration has been so honest and forthright thus far. :sarcasm:

If the shoe were on the other foot, and Americans were being killed in sneak attacks right along our border, you know the U.S. would stop at nothing but total takeover and "regime change." The Russians deserve much praise for their reserved response to such a heinous crime by Saakashvili.
