Thread: Is McCain Panicking?

Now he's going to show up for the debate, in his latest flip-flop. Does anyone still think he doesn't look like a panicky idiot?

William brought up a good point, I believe it. McCain does not want to win, he does not want to take "credit" for his role in fucking up this country.

You know Mike, that is the impression that I am starting to get also. Whomever becomes president next is going to have one giant fucked up mess to deal with. Why would McCain want that at his age?

I believe both men want to win the Presidency, but there is a very good chance that whomever wins will only serve one term because I am not sure that three years (until the real meat of the next campaign starts) is enough time to make significant progress digging out of this current mess.

The problem they are facing with the bailout is very interesting. It is a huge decision, one that will impact the people of the country directly. Both want to do the right thing, both want to be part of the solution so as to appear more "Presidential", but neither want to be tied so closely to it that it becomes an anchor around their neck if the bailout fails to fix or help the situation.

I'm not so sure of that. Palin did a miserable job of answer avoidance during her interview with Couric last night. Even after her "tutoring" she still comes across as an idiot.

(As far as tonight's debate is concerned, McCain flip-flops so often now we really don't need Obama at the debate at all..McCain can debate himself!)
