Do you support Bush's Bail Out or not?
Absolutely! Would you rather Americans go through another Depression?
Yes. But I expect nothing less. This is all Bush's fault in the first place. That Bastard.
Absolutely Not! This is Corporate Welfare. It's wrong. It'll hurt us in the long run.
No. But I understand why he did it. He didn't want to look like Hoover.
Do you support Bush's Bail Out or not?
Of course it was wrong, but his economic policies do look clearly like the interventionist Herbert Hoover's.
What Bush has done is dig the hole deeper. These banks are going down, the level of derivatives is too great, bailing anyone out at this point either requires printing or borrowing, unfortunately they printed. That will increase the inflation rate, we will pay so the rich don't have to, and now your government holds your mortgage, soon it will hold the insurance policies on the derivatives. This will come to a head with a depression greater than the last, get ready. BTW the amount of leveraged funds(derivatives) is greater than the entire worlds money!!!! Try that on for size!
I would vote for I am opposed to most of Bush's bailouts, but some of them are needed.
All this did, was continue to widen the divide between the rich and the poor, erode the dollar, and further drive up prices. This was a bail out of the rich. Period.
This is an important point that not many people understand.
The Federal Reserve, actually had to turn to the Department of Treasury, to accomplish this little bailout.
This is a very, VERY bad sign.
Anyone who says our economy is "fundamentally sound" after something like this, is BRAIN DEAD!!!
You must have. Like those of the Bush regime, the economic policies of Herbert Hoover were thoroughly interventionist, worsening the Depression, and laying the groundwork for FDR's New Deal.
