And people are aware that he saw this coming yet he is not mainstream enough so they reject him. Terrible.

As I have been saying, His message will inevitably be heard as they make headlines. This is one example.
SS and Medicare will be soon as the boomers retire.

Too bad he is not the best messenger, but his is right on.

Well remember all the 'serious' politicians with their immense knowledge of economics laughed at him.

Perhaps people have a hard time believing that Greenspan, Bernanke, Paulson, etc. are other stupid, evil, or both, despite the fact that their government positions are touted as representing a paragon of economic brilliance.

Great point D. I suppose then you would have no problem pointing out the bill that Ron Paul introduced that would have prevented this mess. After all, he has had 20 years in office to work on it.

Um, just no. If you had been paying attention, the Government has no control over the Federal Reserve whatsoever, they are like a secret institution that answers to no one. So it doesn't matter what kind of bill they introduce they can't just get "rid" of the Fed. If I remember correctly the executive branch selects the leaders of those institutions, but they don't control them.

So let me get this straight. Ron Paul saw this coming, and sat there for years doing nothing about it? I have never seen complacency and impotence championed by someone so vehemently.
