Adviser says McCain helped create the BlackBerry

I needed something to laugh at, well here it is. I guess Al Gore has nothing on McCain, they both have delusions of grandeur.

Except Al Gore actually did help to create it as we know it - by introducing key pieces of legislation that proliferated the internet.

And McCain never claimed any such thing. His staffer did so as a joke.

No Big Al Bore invented it, look it says so right here on my computer....

And like the staffer joked... McCain's influence in legislation help develop the capabilities of the blackberry. No difference... only Gore claimed to have invented the internet which he did not... the internet had been around for decades. He might have had something to do with the creation of the World Wide Web, which is not the same thing as the internet.

But that's okay... I wouldn't expect someone like you to be that informed.

Actually, if he WAS joking, he must have been joking when later in the article, he said this:

It had to have been a joke, McCain admittedly doesn't use a computer or the internet so for him to have invented the Blackberry he would've had to whittle it out of a piece of Arizona cacti.
