Here come the Republican dirty tricks

Well, folks, looks like they're starting.

The Republi-Cons are in "dirty tricks" mode again.

Here's the latest one: "McCain camp accuses Obama of promoting teaching sex-ed to 5-year-olds".

www.kansascity.com | 09/09/2008 | Out of bounds: McCain ad misstates Obama sex-ed record

They're talking about a video, in which kindergartners are warned of inappropriate touching by adults, and inappropriate advances from strangers.

Yep, looks like the Republi-Con dirty tricks machine is at it again.

This, alone, will guarantee a McCain loss. People aren't as stupid this year as they were four years ago.

I doubt this will hurt McCain in the long run but its not right. In fact Obama was fairly clear on this and his point, I agree with.

    From the copy:

As a state senator in Illinois, Obama did vote for but was not a sponsor of legislation dealing with sex ed for grades K-12.But the legislation allowed local school boards to teach "age-appropriate" sex education, not comprehensive lessons to kindergartners, and it gave schools the ability to warn young children about inappropriate touching and sexual predators.

Re: Here come the Republican dirty tricks

Any piece of information processed for voter consumption by the RNC, Fox, and Rove Inc. is a dirty trick. Wanting to believe every dirty trick is what individual Conservative voters do. They have a lawyer mentality which means truth takes a back seat to winning and Conservatives are in denial of that too.

It's becomming exhaustive to talk to Conservatives. They're consumed by Fox/Rush inspired viscous latent hostility and they all say the exact same things, naturally. When you argue with them and prove them wrong, I'll notice that same poster retrying his/her argument a few minutes/hours later with other people who don't know they've admitted having been proven wrong. It's like you chop it off, but the head keeps growing back

    Good observations.

Can't say I can deny any of 'em.

Discerning citizens can still discern. It's gettin' a little harder to separate the wheat from the chaff, but it's definitely possible.

This is why I said though, that the 'net is helping to change all this. Us old farts, we may know a little, but some of these kids are REAL good with it, and they're on 16 different forums all at once, and they KNOW when someone's trying to pull a weasel move like that.

I've been following with considerable interest the technology sub-story around that RNC thing with the protests and arrests and all that. Some of these kids are REAL smart, aren't they? They're still gettin' tapped, but that won't last long. Want me to tell you why?

Yep, this is gonna get REAL interesting, at some point.....

Well, hell. Of course O-Bama wasn't the sponsor of that bill.

O-Bama's never authored any bills at all.

What Clinton did was wrong, but I'd really appreciate it if you could give me an estimate of how many more years Republicans are going to use that as justification for everything that they do that is wrong.
