And you know, along with that, goes stem cell vetos, abstinence-only education, no funding for condoms or straight sex-ed, creationist literature from public funds, government interfering in personal medical decisions.....

Hm. Well, as long as she doesn't make policy out of that stuff, it's cool. She doesn't seem to be a hard-liner that way, does she? So, if she keeps that stuff to herself it's probably okay "domestically" - now, the foreign equation, is a different matter.

I wouldn't elect a President based on foreign perceptions, BUT, there is such a thing as America putting its best foot forward, and I don't think it's helpful for people to start thinking in terms of "false religion".

We'll have to see how this one plays out. We'll find out more about this, I'm sure.

Well, remember, we've only heard her READ one speech written by someone else.

I'm sure McCain-Palin will be putting her out there for all kinds of interviews and townhall meetings, right?

Yes, this is where the Dems should hit the Palin choice, hard and fast and repeatedly. Not gender, not experience, but religious war-mongering.

Its an platform to split the nation and put clear blue water between the Repugs and Dems on a substantial issue near the front of the political debate, where there is an open link to the folly of the outgoing regime. Hopefully enough people have seen the tragedy of believing god has sent them a new crusade.

Who cares? Many Americans think Christianity is a false religion. That shouldn't disqualify them from holding office.
