Your economy is in shambles, your President's a confessed war criminal, and you're sittin' there talkin' to me about TAKIN' OUT THE TRASH?

Well, you know... I got a few thoughts about that concept too.

Listen pal, that flag you seem to value so much, now stands for torture, and rendition, and illegal and un-Constitutional government intrusion into YOUR personal affairs.

So, what we're trying to do here, is fight like HELL to make sure that flag still MEANS something - something GOOD, like it was meant to.

Seems to me, that your sense of propriety is woefully misplaced. You want to have something to be proud of, relative to your flag and your country? FINE - then make your country a great place. But DON'T sit there and try to tell me I'm supposed to be paying attention to GARBAGE while Rome is burning and Nero's sittin' there fiddlin'.

Why don't you go hunt down some terrorists or something? THAT would be helpful. Our President can't seem to get the job done, so maybe you and I will just have to do it OURSELVES. Catch my drift?

These f'in idiots are sittin' there tellin' me I'm supposed to be paying attention to the FLAG, when my President is out there TORTURING people and basically making a mockery of everything the flag stands for -

Man, I'll cheer for my country and wave the flag when I FEEL like it, not when those idiots tell me I have to. What a bunch of clowns! Imagine that - placing your patriotism in a scrap of cloth.

Dude, you go look at the picture of those marines on Iwo Jima - THAT is where I'll be, doin' that exact same thing, when I've got that much to be grateful for and proud about.

But right now, I'm not feelin' very grateful towards my government, nor proud of it.

What I'm PROUD of, is that there are still some right-thinking people in this country, who're willing to stand up and shout to the rafters, "the Emperor has no clothes". And KEEP shouting it, till everyone sees the truth.

The REST of us, seem to be a lot of brain-dead sheeple, and that's not exactly something to be proud of, is it?

Look, friend, there's a little something that goes ALONG with that flag - it's called the Constitution. It is MORE important than the flag. MUCH more. So, please don't tell me the flag is important, when you're trampling on the Constitution at the same time. That would be a "disconnect" in logic, yes?

Come on now - we have ENORMOUS resources in this country, and yet our brain-dead politicians are squandering them. So, instead of dumpster-diving for stories with which to point fingers at YOUR FELLOW AMERICANS, why don't you step up to the plate and DO something about it?

Look here - I can give you DOZENS of ideas. Want one? Here - our Senators right now, are overwhelmed with work. They don't have enough time to consider issues and bills "individually" anymore. So what they do, is package them all up into "omnibus" legislation, and "omnibus" budgets, and things like that. So like, a little bit of technology could EASILY help solve this problem. That would be a GREAT bang-for-the-buck, for both the Senators and the American People, if they could return to the concept of addressing issues on their merits, instead of playing political poker with them. See what I"m sayin'?
