    Palin on immigration

Does anyone know if Palin has made her views on immigration known?
Haven't found much on the web yet. Is she going to be in step with McCain or can she have a good influence on him? If she is pro illegals, I'm done with her, same as Obama

Just guessing, but I kinda doubt that Alaska has much of a problem with illegal immigrants. Whatever positions she takes will toe the McCain line.

Agreed --- there's still so much she needs to say 'bout her being there as a VP-hopeful.

The Dems should ask her directly to see what the response is: either she will look disconnected from McCain or disconnected from the Repug base. Its a no-brainer.

I agree, however I think it would be a mistake for Palin to tow the McCain line in this instance. I think she should issue a statement saying that she fervently disagrees with McCain. This will allow Republicans to support the McCain ticket even with all the national outrage concerning Bush's and McCain's push for Amnesty. It will also strengthen both McCain and Palin's image as "mavericks" whatever the hell that's supposed to mean.

    Re: Palin on immigration

Notice none of the three stooges (Clinton, McCain or Obama) has breathed a word about immigration in months?

The immigration invasion is what all the Presidential candidates want for the United States, sadly enough so did McCain. But, his arm can be twisted and he's already about facing on the matter so he would be the better choice. Both Clinton and Obama have made tall promises in pandering to the Latino voters. The real fight will be in the Senate and House races. If your sick of illegal immigration and having to foot the bill for ingrates who march in our streets holding foreign flags and shouting anti-American slogans, pay close attention to your house and senate races for November. By all means check out your congressmen at Americans for Better Immigration. You can see how your Congressmen have actually VOTED on immigration matters, not their campaign bullognia rhetoric. Vote against anyone with a C- or worse.

That is not how this thing is playing out. if you haven't noticed She is the conservative component of the ticket so I expect her view to be very conservative. I think a lot of people will be surprised when she reveals her views on many issues. Not surprised they will be conservative but surprised she has a grasp on the common sense portion of the conservative view. I see that everyone is underestimating her and that will bite the dems in the end.

Thats a good question, AK has minimal Illegal Immigration so the answer is allusive. I will listen to her speeches more to find out. I am sure however that she will swing to the whims of McCain.
