Like Obama and every other politican? She did a bang up job by all accounts especially when the teleprompter went haywire and she had to rely on her memory and old notes.

Her acceptance speech was a verbal bumpersticker for McCain. She didn't address a single specific issue.
She wasn't giving a state of the union speech and she expressed the principles and goals of a McCain/Palin ticket but her most important job was to introduce herself to the country and make the distinctions between her and her opponents and she did a bang up job of it.

Biden will make short work of her.
Keep underestimating her, Baden will either be himself and come off as a blow hard, or he will try to be someone he isn't and she will eat him alive.

That's a good risk in my opinion. Because if Obama comes out for some kind of original immigration proposal, it'll force McCain into a corner on the legislation he sponsored in the Senate. Then Chuck Baldwin and Bob Barr can come out against Amnesty and possibly pick up enough votes to cost McCain in important battleground states like Colorado, North Carolina, and Virginia, where illegal immigration is causing huge problems and big public outcries.

Obama still has a great chance of winning, but it doesn't appear that he'll be able to count on Republican apathy for their candidate anymore. Now Obama has to win over the left and the center and inspire those who haven't voted over the last eight years.
I would have agreed with assessment at the beginning of this ridiculous choice for VP, but I am starting to see the veneer wearing off of Palin's lipstick. Hopefully by election time the people will see that McCain has turned into a liar and will do anything to get elected, including having Rove as a consultant.

The Republican Base LOVES Karl Rove. He's been kicking the Democrats ass for years. That's a good thing for McCain. And the Evengelicals won't be dissuaded from their support of Palin. Talk about loyal! These people live on faith and faith alone.

McCain won't lose the center, because at this point he can say or do anything and claim that he's a Maverick and a centrist. That's the genius of his politics. He's NEVER had to be consistent and it's his inconsistency that Democrats have praised him for in the past and that Republicans are now beginning to support (only because they believe that this will keep the Republican Party in the White House).
