Should the U.S. be spending more money for the cause of Haiti?

Right now I would have to say no. We need the money going towards Haiti going towards Airport security (New Screening Machines) and Military funding so we can build new weapons,weapons parts and ammo for our troops overseas fighting terrorism. Our troops are low on them. That should be the number one priority. Right now it would be a waste of taxpayers dollars. There are plenty of other countries capable of helping them so let them. Also the Haiti Government is very corrupt and there is no certainty that the money would be used wisely. Our responsibility should be National Security and the Military destroying the enemy.

I think we should cut the rations of the troops. They're living on the government dole and the least they can do is sacrifice a bit so America can look good to the rest of the world. Just have the troops take one day a week off from using their weapons and maybe cut out breakfasts. That might cover it. Problem solved.

You really hate our military, why don't you stop eating and you say take a day a week off from using their weapons while our troops are being killed, doing their best to protect this country. You are one sick B***********

I wasn't aware that there was a Haitian Cause. I do understand that there was a terrible Earthquake and we should definately help them, just as we have helped everyone else at times of natural disaster. We are citizens of the world, not just of the United States.

How about we take all the money being spent on lawyers trying to find a way to prove Obama was born in Kenya and instead use it to provide aid for Haiti?

Then donate your own money.

It is both illegal and immoral for the US government to send taxpayer money to Haiti to help the "Haitian Cause".
