I'm not so certain Aus. WWIII is not a preordained situation. My take is that eventually there will be a limited regional nuclear exchange.

But my point here is that the soothsayer of doom was wrong about the US invading Iran. It hasn't and won't happen.

It is, Bourne. The national boundaries and political situations as they have developed are a direct result of what happened in the early 1800s with the Napoleonic Wars and the Congress of Vienna. WWIII is an inevitable event, and the epicentre is going to be in the Middle East.

And I know exactly where this nuclear exchange is going to be - India v. Pakistan anyone?

As gentlemen, we agree to disagree about WWIII. I believe that a global conflagration is avoidable. Let me start a seperate thread and we can discuss that subject, ok?

India v. Pakistan is a definite possibility as is Israel v. Iran or Israel v. Syria. But I agree, the theatre for a regional nuclear conflict will be the Middle East or South Asia.
