So, you don't think scientists will do whatever it takes to get government funding? Think again. This is for all the global warming religious fanatics who simply don't understand the corrupting influence of billions of dollars up for grabs.

Funny how you don't see many of those. I guess you haven't figured out that's because there is no government funding for disproving anthropogenic warming.

If there was a trillion dollars in funding available for the study of the effects of mouse farts on the next satellite impact on the earth we would have scientists developing fart capturing devices for mice.

There's a classic line in the movie Ghostbusters when they get kicked out of the University and Dan Akroyd's character says something to the effect of "Have you ever had to work in the private sector? It's scary. They expect results!"

It must be nice making a comfortable living on the environmental equivalent of the hoola hoop.

Correlation doesnt imply causation :laughing: Perhaps the reason so many scientists are agreeing with the consensus is because the consensus is true, hm?

Maybe next you'll tell me that smoking doesnt cause respiratory problems, and that the thousands of studies saying it does only turn out that way because it justifies taxing the tabacco industry?

The problem though is that pesky evidence and the fact that correlation is all these scientists have and yet they disregard the strongest correlation of all.

Maybe next you'll tell me that smoking doesnt cause respiratory problems, and that the thousands of studies saying it does only turn out that way because it justifies taxing the tabacco industry?

Maybe I won't tell you anything other than that was a very poor analogy.

Im sure that there would be much money in attempting to disprove human contributed climate change from dirty industry, look at how many scientists supported the tabacco companies. Why havent there been many dirty industry backed studies with scientific validity? Simple, because its just coincidence that there is money up for grabs and that many scientists choose to go with the consensus.

Maybe I won't tell you anything other than that was a very poor analogy.

Maybe government (US Army) scientists should have to reveal their private patents more transparently from the get-go. Sort of like Cheney and Halliburton.
