Yeah, that sounds like complete bullshit, but we still need to ask... how much oil would be saved if cars were inspected more and tires were properly inflated? I suppose that would be a large amount of waste...

I heard around 3 million a year...A drop in the bucket. Also, driving around Houston I've noticed that almost every car on the road is no older than 5 years old and in seemingly good condition, including tires.

I think he's a puppet of the teleprompter, we've heard his nonsensical ramblings without one, and he really didn't realize what the hell he was saying until it was to late.

Lol....got this off of the list of his "actual" energy policy posted in this thread.

Sponsored bill to notify public when nuclear releases occur. (Mar 2006) Ya think ??

What do you suggest as an alternative that reduces our dependence on fossil fuels?

Of course millionaire morons like Obongo are quite eager to see energy prices soar without any concern for ordinary hardworking Americans. This little clip shows just how serious he takes the energy issue (or any real issue). Go back to discussing fear of his picture on dollar bills or whatever the hell this idiot racebaiter prefers to talk about.

Reminds me of another inept Democratic politician:

".... I'm asking you for your good and for your nation's security to take no unnecessary trips, to use carpools or public transportation whenever you can, to park your car one extra day per week, to obey the speed limit, and to set your thermostats to save fuel. Every act of energy conservation like this is more than just common sense -- I tell you it is an act of patriotism..."

Why exactly do we need alternative fuels when we can drill off our coast and be nearly independant ? Or do you believe in all of the end of the world Al Gore green peace nonsense and that oil is evil ? Because if you do your one of Gore's useful idiots. FYI...it's not evil, it's very necessary seeing as most of it is used for other purposes than fuelling your car.

Too bad, most of congress ( the one's who don't give a fuck ) flew home on private jets leaving one hell of a carbon footprint.
