yeah I read this... a cooperative is probably the best way... and according to the article government cost would only be 5 or 6 billion.. sot ,ore sensible
Because whenever unlimited power and self righteous compassion are united, you end up with a bunch of self righteous pricks spending other people's money and patting themselves on the back for being compassionate.

The cooperatives can negotiate for better premiums, additional coverage, etc. I would support this. The ironic thing is, a cooperative is often associated with socialist states.

How much lower? How much more coverage? I guess no one cares at long as it's not "public".

If this is the route we go, can we take back the PHARMA deal? If we aren't doing a public option anymore I don't see where we need their support.

Yes, those are the big questions. Who knows at this point. I guess it comes down to who do you trust more, the government or a cooperative. I'm leaning more toward a democratically elected cooperative, but really in a society where profit comes first, there really isn't much of a choice. The government is owned by the same people who are taking advantage of those who are complaining about their poor health insurance.

That's it? All the hysteria over the thousands of pages and "death panels" and electronic records and the forced abortions and the kid police and all of that just goes away because there won't (supposedly) be a public option?

Interesting. You guys lied about everything just to take one thing that was optional away from others wanted it.

If this turns out to be true, you better hope we never get another Republican president. Because if we do, and even if he wins by a large margin, we have learned a lot from you all about how to kneecap him politically.

Obama is the master of saying one thing and doing another. He is not finished with it. He will say he is dumping it while having it in the bill. Just like when he said there was no pork in the stimulus bill. At this point I trust him zero.

They were going to support PHRMA anyway.

I have been skeptical of this whole thing since Obama started "moving" on health care "reform".

The reform will exist only in the political theater they have created.
