    Black Liberation Theology

The recent Newyorker magazine cover attempts to bring the light of day onto the stigma that exists in the minds of many individuals with regards to a potential President Barrack Hussein Obama. These thoughts are not exactly unfounded. If you know anything about Black Liberation Theology, you will know that one of the Theologians that has expressed and formed the idea of this theology is James Cone. It has been written:

    ....
While not agreeing, Cone indicates that Malcolm X was "not far wrong" in stating::
"Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community ... Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love."....

James Cone when asked what church in the USA best exemplifies the Liberation Theology? He stated it was the Trinity United Church in Chicago.

What is very clear is that the Nation of Islam in the USA and the "Black liberation theology are hand in hand. Even today Obama is expressing how we need to worry about the thoughts and in fact the lvelyhood of those in other countries. That it is somehow our responsibility. This closely echoes the once printed goals on the website for the Trinity United Church before they removed the manifesto. That was "An unyielding devotion to Africa and its issues" or some such. I certainly want a President that is devoted to the citizens of the USA and not other countries.

    Re: Black Liberation Theology

The media is determined to bury any and all negative references to Obama's radical black "liberation" church. They say to move on from Wright and Pfleger; forgive and forget, its no big deal.

A white guy's career would have been dead and buried by now if he attended a church with even a hint of such radicalism, never mind the level of extremism of Wright & Co.

And who attended the Million man march put on by Louis Fahrrakan and the Nation of Islam? Why Barrak Hussein Obama that's who. Why? Because the church's involved with the Liberation Theology are working closely with the Nation Of Islam. Obama attended the march and listened to the speakers including Farrakan.

Yes, that's unfortunate, since that means we're stuck with Obama.

The cover of the NewYorker is trying to make light of what is out there. But it has backfired if they thought this would somehow diffuse the problem like Archie Bunker did in the 60's-70's. Instead it has given an imagery to what people only spoke of. It was a mistake to have printed it if the idea was it was to put the issue to rest. It did not do that.

So McCain is going to be destroyed by an issue that no one talks about? Wow politics is tough.

So Obama will say what is out of bounds. What cannot be said in the name of political satire. That we are not allowed to speak of his wife even though she is actively campaigning for him.

I can definitely see the similarities. I fear his policies more than his church though.

It would seem his policies of worrying about citizens of other lands follows closely his churches published manifesto. I want a President that is 100% devoted to the citizens of the USA.
