The recent Newyorker magazine cover attempts to bring the light of day onto the stigma that exists in the minds of many individuals with regards to a potential President Barrack Hussein Obama. These thoughts are not exactly unfounded. If you know anything about Black Liberation Theology, you will know that one of the Theologians that has expressed and formed the idea of this theology is James Cone. It has been written:
....
While not agreeing, Cone indicates that Malcolm X was "not far wrong" in stating::
"Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community ... Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love."....

James Cone when asked what church in the USA best exemplifies the Liberation Theology? He stated it was the Trinity United Church in Chicago.
What is very clear is that the Nation of Islam in the USA and the "Black liberation theology are hand in hand. Even today Obama is expressing how we need to worry about the thoughts and in fact the lvelyhood of those in other countries. That it is somehow our responsibility. This closely echoes the once printed goals on the website for the Trinity United Church before they removed the manifesto. That was "An unyielding devotion to Africa and its issues" or some such. I certainly want a President that is devoted to the citizens of the USA and not other countries.
