Barack Obama catches cold as economic virus spreads

I think were on the verge of a lame duck presidency, clearly Obama can't tell the truth, in fact from this article he plays Americans as fools. Who the fuck does he think he is....

The wispy slickness of Obama’s ideas was on ample display in Montana on Friday, when he insisted to one questioner that “I don’t want government bureaucrats meddling in your healthcare” – which is exactly what his reforms imply.

You would have to wonder what he was drinking and how much, it is either that or his hubris got the better of him, in either case, he straight up lied. Maybe he thought were so god-damned stupid we will, like some on this board, will believe anything he says.

The people see through this guy, they know that as the bankers get everything, we get more taxes to pay for it all.

I predict health care id dead in the water.

This thread isn't about the republican health plan, there is a thread dedicated to that already. This thread is about the ineptness of the Joker Obama and his lie to the attendees of his photo op.

Sorta, like I said, I think were seeing a lame duck in the making. Obama lost his ability to mesmerize the people, his tricks have worn thin, and people are getting either mad, or for unfortunate souls, buyers remorse. Either way, I like it, maybe he will slow down a bit and face reality.

He's playing Americans for fools because most of the voting public are fools and willfully ignorant on most issues.

here is a bit of reality that works
Leftist have little regard for the creation of wealth. They simply take that for granted. It is the redistribution of wealth that excites their passions. It may be difficult to define greed, but it is easy to define covetousness. That is the greed of leftists for governmental power to control the lives and confiscate the property of others.

Obama has lost some popularity, to be sure.

But there are still PLENTY of people he can mesmerize.

Lots of good, well-meaning Americans still consider him to be their BEST hope.

And, we DID elect him - we made a choice, and we elected the black Democrat.

Michael - there is much more at stake here than just healthcare.

One of Obama's BIGGEST jobs, is to repair and restore (to the extent possible)

the tarnished image of the United States abroad.

And my opinion is, he's doing a much better job at that, than he is at healthcare.

So, essentially, this is the "devil we know", isn't it?

Let us be real here - if We pull this man down, he won't be able to do ANY of his

jobs - and no matter how much I dislike his healthcare proposals (which I do), I consider

it VASTLY more important that he succeed in the job of restoring our diplomatic relations -

with both our allies AND our enemies!

As you know, we are very much between a rock and hard place right now, both economically

and politically. And, if it gets any worse, we could be in big trouble - right at the moment,

the entire WORLD is coming out of its recession - EXCEPT for the United States. We are lagging.

And, there is a reason for that. And, YES it is true that our recent expenditures may have at

least partially contributed to that - BUT - that is better than the collapse of the entire

    economy.

Right now what you're going to see, is a little inflation. It's already started. 4.5% bond

auction last week (and we sold plenty, too). Bernanke says he's going to start raising the

Fed rates. This is what's going to happen now.

We have to ENDURE it, Michael. We have to bite the bullet, and endure it - 'cause if we don't,

the alternative is much MUCH worse. That is where George W Bush got us, and the damage has

already been done and it's too late to conveniently reverse it and try something else.

What we have to do now, is chip in with each other, and work VERY HARD, to cover the miserable

butts of our politicians who fell down on the job.

So let us take a LESSON from our mistakes, instead of sweeping them under the carpet and

pointing fingers at the opposition (which is the PARTISAN thing to do).

George W Bush was NOT a conservative, so really, conservatives have nothing to worry about.

But he WAS a Republican, and clearly the Republicans have a lot to worry about! I, am pretty

much a life-long registered Republican (until recently). So, it pains me greatly to have to

point the finger at my own Party. But there it is. I must refrain from the usual partisan

reflexes, and learn to DISCERN THE TRUTH, and the truth is, that it doesn't MATTER what letter

Dubya had after his name - R or D - the truth is the man HIMSELF was a clown, and we simply

need to learn not to elect clowns to office, even if they ARE from our own party!

I wish Obama to SUCCEED, not fail. Because if he succeeds, America might look a little different

that it did yesterday, but at least we'll be functioning and our children will still have the

ability to PURSUE the happiness of future generations.

But if Obama FAILS, then we're all in trouble - because that means our country won't be able

to function anymore - domestically OR abroad - and then all this nonsense about healthcare

won't even matter anymore, because our children won't have the opportunity to pursue happiness

anymore, they'll just be wage slaves for the Chinese. And, you know - "we don't care if you're

healthy or not, as long as you keep working"....

I will address the first half of your post for now.

While I agree that diplomatic relations should be mended, and I for one would like to see that. But I hardly think that is or should be the top of anyones agenda, and I think picking Hillary "I hate every Muslim" Clinton was a huge step in the wrong direction. She is a bully, and the world knows it.

I respect peoples votes, what I can't respect is this nation that "because I voted for a winner he can do no wrong". I see that attitude all the time. I swear the guy could shoot some of the members dog, and the member would buy him a new bullet and say "thank you sir may I have another" and make some sort of population control excuse for him. That is about how bad it is with a slight exaggeration.

Obama needs to concentrate on the economy. Now you put your foot in it. The world hasn't moved one inch toward ending the "recession", actually it is a depression. Shanghai just took our markets back a week or so, the HBO's ore off 15%...you think about that. China and Japans economy is contracting still and the euro zone is, how do I put this, fucked.

Instead of niceties that even in good times, would be hard to pay for, instead of continuing the growth of the federal government, instead of expanding the lost war in Afghanistan, instead of keeping troops in Iraq, instead of moving troops and building bases in South America, the list goes on here, he should concentrate on making it possible to see and end to this economic meltdown. As it is, the bottom just keeps getting lower, and this is a direct result of Obama's and the establishments actions.

He had his chance, I alway add his Senate record to the deck, and if you go watch the video that I posted yesterday, you will have some light shed on that, and it is all but pretty.

[/quote]I think that is a very possible thing to happen. I was discussing the "lame duck" potential the other night at work. But we cannot just count him out, in true form he will start changing what he says he is for and try to up the ante in his attempts to make America what he wants it to be. The problem is it is not what most Americans want it to be.
