Thread: I think that Rock the Vote is going to deliver a landslide for Obama.

You would think that this election is going to be a horserace if you listen to the mainstream media, but that's plainly silly. The people are sick and tired of the same old dance and they are ready for a new one. Is this it?

I quite agree with you. Obama has clear alternatives to the perception of McCain as non-progressive and a continuation of Bush's policies.

He's winning over disenchanted Republicans too.

My take is that Obama will be the clear winner in November.

If and that's a big if, Obama wins it will be by the narrowest of margins.

For all those worried about Obama changing his plans on bringing our troops home.......it is just an election year smoke screen! Obama wants to bring our troops home...ASAP & will! (He knows that this is a Bush family war & will get us out of it as soon as it looks presentable to do so. (less than the 16 month he has promised) His rhetoric is just that.....rhetoric. (McCain, on the other hand, wants to keep the Bush Family War going for as long as possible......His rhetoric is also just election year BS)

How could it be so close? No one seems excited about McCain and people like me wouldn't vote for him no matter how many lies he tells.

The only monolithic voting block Obama has locked up is the black vote. BIG SURPRISE Which in adjusted numbers is about 5% of the voting popultion nationwide.

The Obama campaign has basically already thrown over the Jewish vote. That being about 2% nationally.

The Hispanic vote may increase if he puts Richardson on the ticket, otherwise he won't get much there either.

His real hope is to play on white guilt and bamboozle the ethnic majority of this country to vote for him.

Yes this election will fall clearly along racial lines.

You got things backwards. His anti-war rhetoric is just that... rhetoric. It's just an election year smoke screen. In reality Obama is a warmongering neocon hawk.

Obama will not end the Iraq war. He will attack Iran if Bush has not done so already, making withdrawal from the resulting chaos in the region impossible.
