Re: I think that Rock the Vote is going to deliver a landslide for Obama.

OK...FYI guys rhetoric has not been redefined as lying, lies, falsehoods, untruths, prevarication, halftruth, tall tale, deception, inacuracy, inveracity, etc. Just thought you'd like to know.

"How could it be so close?"

That's the million dollar question. The media thinks it can fool everybody, that's how.

The media CAN fool pretty much everybody except a few resisters like myself. That's how we ended up with McCain and Obama.

Sorry kids, Rock the Vote is a joke. Ever since 18 YO's got the right to vote, they have been wondering how the youth vote will change the political landscape. So far, not one iota.

Truth is, young people talk a lot but few of them ever get out to vote. With the internet, most young people view politics as some sort of video game or RPG. To actually go to the polls and cast a ballot is foreign to them.

People who are under the age of 25 who consider themselves conservatives are a minority but they are much more likely to vote than their liberal counterparts. It usually just ends up a wash.

The problem is they are gung ho until election day when they all manage to forget to put down their bongs and actually get off the couch.

Yea I have to admit the only reason I voted when I was 18 was I took my grandmother to vote.

Rock the vote is a joke. Remember MTV's lovefest w/ Algore? Even after the P.M.R.C censorship stunt the Gores pulled off. MTV should have stuck with the 1982 formula that made them a household name. They will cut off their nose to spite their face.

Yea MTV was so cool when it first came on the air. It had music. What does the "M" stand for now. It certainly isn't music. Is it "MINDLESS BULLSHIT" ? I have teenage nephews and they don't watch it. They say it is lame. I think they watch FUSE.

They always cite Rock the Vote as being pivotal for Clinton's win in the '92 election. Clinton would not have won if Ross Perot hadn't gotten into the fray because of his axe to grind with Bush 41.

I don't see it doing too much...even with the wiggers involved.

I thought MTV stood by and wet their pants when the PMRC threatend the music industry. A few short years after the fiasco, MTV completely forgot who Bill Clinton's running mate was....Algore. The man (and his wife)who wanted to censor lyrics and album cover artwork was going to be the Vice President. MTV and Rolling Stone magazine completely ignored what the Gores tried to do.
This is the reason I dispise most Democrat/Liberal politicians. They don't agree w/ something, they try to shut it down, censor it. Enter the return of the Fairness doctrine.
