DNC protests will be behind fence
"The fence around the public demonstration zone outside the Democratic National Convention will be chicken wire or chain link, authorities revealed in U.S. District Court today. That may allow protestors to be seen and heard by delegates going in and out of the Pepsi Center during the convention.
But the American Civil Liberties Union and several advocacy groups have filed an amended complaint to their lawsuit against the U.S. Secret Service and the city and county of Denver that says protestors and demonstrators may have their First Amendment rights violated by security restrictions."

Some stipulations.
The First Amendment protects you from the government restricting your speech.
Political parties are not government, they are private entities.
Your rights cannot and do not supersede someones else's rights.
So what "rights" do protesters have and where do they end?
Do they have a right to disrupt the convention in any way shape or manner?
Do they have a right to interfer with and to prevent citizens from engaging in their private lawful business such as blocking access.
Do they have a right to be heard at the convention AT ALL?
Do they really do any good their for respective causes at all with this nonsense?
Why don't they work within the system, work at the local level, get elected to office, get selected to go as a delegate, work in a campaign rather than the silly nonsense they engage in?
