    Are we Safer now?

So I was listening to the news earlier today and they were discussing the differences between McCain and Obama in regards to foreign policy. Well, they mentioned that The Republicans were afraid that we would go back to the failed Foreign policy of the '90's. So it got me wondering........do you feel safer now?

I have two points. one, personally I do not feel safer. I feel we are hated by a large percentage of the world and we are feared by fewer.

Secondly, the argument that we aren't having anymore attacks here is just a feel good argument. Why would terrorists come here when we are sending our soldiers to them? They are using their money towards bigger things. When our soldiers come home, due to our failed foreign relations policy I fear we will once again have attacks at home.

    How do you feel?

Well after a long series of attacks including Somalia, the African Embassies and the Cole Bush woke up. The problem is he has been ineffectual and heavyhanded as opposed to oblivious thus accomplishing nothing of value.

Even when McCain was asked that question he said no.

Of course he changed his mind and said yes a few months later when it behoved him to do so.

    Re: Are we Safer now?

We've given FAR more reasons for arabs to hate us than ever before in our history thanks to bush's actions.

And that "we haven't had an attack since 9/11" talking point doesn't work; How many years were in between the first attack on the trade center and 9/11?

    Exactly.

AQ has been growing by leaps and bounds thanks to Bush. Anyone who thinks we are actually safer simply because we have not had another 9/11 is a blithering idiot.

I think it's the same. We just were aware in the 90's.

Make it easy for you. Do you think the number of people in the world who despise us enough to perpetrate something such as 9/11 have gone up or down because of Bush's policies?

Despise or willing to act? I think there are about the same, but many more have fessed up to it. I don't think we have ever been a fan favorite of anyone. I also think that few would ever act because we send monetary support to their butts when they ask for it.

I also think that people still want to move to the US for a better life and they do. That hasn't changed. So, you can't despise us too much if you are still wanting to come here for a better life.

Because terrorist feel more like men when they're murdering the babies and the women. They seriously dislike confronting determined people inside tanks.
