This is all we need, the IRS policing us to make sure we are insured or we will face fines. Are any of you for this? This is unconstitutional. There is no place in the constitution that mandates American's having to being forced to buy anything like health insurance.

    http://www.foxnews.c...ce-tax-returns/

As if U.S. tax forms aren't complicated enough, Congress is expected to include in its final health care reform bill a requirement that nearly all Americans have health insurance -- and prove it on their tax returns or face a fine.

The Internal Revenue Service would be tasked with enforcing this new health insurance mandate, prompting some in the tax preparation business to say this is going to add a whole new burden to the tax agency.

"Just the audits of this is going to be huge because our system is a voluntary compliance system," said Terry Jones a private certified public accountant. "The IRS can audit, of course, and this is a whole new area opening up that the IRS is going to have to be on top of."

In addition, the health care reform bill likely would require the IRS to dole out taxpayer dollars -- subsidies -- to low-income Americans to help them pay for health insurance, administer tax credits to small businesses to help them offer health insurance to workers and collect billions of dollars in new taxes on employers, insurance companies and medical device companies.

go bitch about auto insurance being mandatory and having to show proof of insurance in order to register your car...or is that different somehow?
As a Democrat, I take solace in the fact that the Republicans have nominated the guy who lost the nomination to the guy who lost the presidency to the guy who is now the President.

Yes it is very different. I am not required to own a car. I can walk or ride a bus or a bicycle. so I am not required to buy auto insurance. I have the option. with this Healthcare bill there is no option. Only a fine or jail.

Well, if you don't have auto insurance, you don't drive. So, if you don't have health insurance, do they take away your privlage to live?

Or buy your own insurance. No one is forcing you to pay for the government insurance. You have choices.

No, but they will force us to have some health insurance? The government already takes a large portion of my earnings in taxes. So now they can also tell me how to spend what they leave me with?

Yes the plan is to force people to buy insurance or get fined or imprisoned. That is forcing.

Most people who currently have insurance have employer provided insurance. That doesn't change.
