Thread: If you give Illegals driver's licenses, they won't kill people

Some of you may have heard about a 12-year old girl in San Jose killed while on her bike on the last day of school.

First we learned the woman didn't have a license. Now we learned that the woman was here Illegally.

But the seemingly ultra-Liberal (newspaper) San Jose Mercury News' headline story on the front page really didn't seem to want to deal with the girl's death anymore and decided that the poor, poor Illegal is now the victim. The victim of the terrible people that won't just give Illegals, those poor, poor Illegals, driver's licenses.
If you give Illegals driver's licenses, then, of course, everything will be sunny and happy and less innocent people will die from being hit by cars.

So I'm being a smart aleck, but I can't stand UNcommon sense being spit out like this and turning the guilty into the poor victim. So I guess to the San Jose Mercury News, it would have been bad if the driver was LEGAL AND had a driver's license, but since she was ILLEGAL AND didn't have a driver's license, we should now feel sorry for her.

This is just another reason why the laws related to being here Illegally will never be enforced. Too many bleeding heart fucktards supporting the ILLEGAL actions of people and pushing for sympathy. Sickening.

The solution isn't to give licenses to poor illegals but to kick worthless pieces of crap like this murderer out before they get the chance to do something like this.

Aquisition of a drivers license requires a test of road knowledge and skill. Wouldn't have been better ensuring that this lady could actually drive rather than her just assume that she could?

What happened is a tragic accident. Nothing more. Yes, the lady should not have been driving. No, I don't feel sorry for her. I feel sorry for the girls family. However, she has been here for 20 years. How could we fault her immigration status as a factor if after 20 years she is still here?

Find and deport the illegals until the danger from Hamas, Hezbollah, Al Qaeda and the various Iranian intelligence agencies subside.

If you give them licenses, the newspaper no longer holds the burden to report that information and they can truly make it a sob story that sells papers.

You drive the Interstates much? 90% of the licensed drivers can drive worth a crap, what makes you think it would helped her. All it would do is allow her to make a full claim against YOUR insurance even if she has none of her own. That's a great idea.....isn't it?

What agency is going to find them?, the INS can't spare people
Where will you house them when you find them?
Who pays for the housing? Jails are full.
Who pays to feed them while they're being housed?
Mexico has said they won't take mass repatriations.
What method do you use to transport them to Mexico?
In what quantity will you transport batches of illegals?
Who pays for transportation?
What happens if Mexico refuses them?
What is to keep every last one of them coming back the same way they got in?
When will the fence be done? I hear it's nowhere from lawsuits in TX
And I'm only warming up William from the house of Weird. If these basic questions are no problem for you...you should be made Director of Homeland Security

Sorry, I forgot...Illegals NOT getting Driver's licenses will absolutely NOT stop them from driving. They just drive illegally without insurance so you if they hit you..you're screwed.

I don't think all of the illegal immigrants need to be hunted down to get rid of them.

Firstly, we should at least make it impossible for illegal immigrants to get jobs, so then they will just leave eventually.

I would even be fine with actually getting a secure border and then giving amnesty to all illegal immigrants, but it doesn't seem like a border fence is being built. We need to take some sort of steps to get rid of illegal immigrants (or make them legal) and stronger work laws seem the most practical solltion.

50% of the legal drivers in California have no insurance, can you cite some study showing illegals will purchase insurance if given a license? It just means if they clobber YOU, they won't be afraid to file a claim against YOUR insurance, of course you will have no recourse but to sue. They will get a settlement from your insurance, but since they have no insurance you will have to sue, even if you have a judgment against them, you'll need to try to pin them down to pay. When you do they will apply to the court for a financial hardship and request to make payments. You'll get about 3 to 4 payments and they're gone like the wind and you have to track them down again. I have experience with it.

If Illegals caught driving without a license were immediately turned over to ICE for deportation, it would reduce the problems to a minimum.
