Thread: How about having SUCCESS in the United States?

Per Stinger's request to start a new thread:

When is our government going to take care of the country it's suppose to be governing? You know, a little country called the United States of America?

All the billions given to other countries, all the billions borrowed from, for example, China, all the outsourcing to mostly India of almost everything under the sun AND the greater number of H1B Visa'd (and the like) workers brought in, mostly from India also, and the invasion of Iraq and the subsequent rebuilding of that country............where does the United States fit in the whole scheme of things? Where does it rank in priority status?

How about encouraging companies to keep jobs in the United States?
How about attracting LEGAL U.S. workers to jobs instead of making them UNattractive except to imported foreign workers, illegal workers or just eliminating them here and sending them overseas?
How about drilling here in the states and offshore?
How about more nuclear power plants?
How about the government stop meddling in personal choices of people, i.e: gay marriage, abortion, smoking marijuana, prostitution? Many more that I can't think of now.....
How about the government stop coddling the Illegals that ILLEGALLY come here and stop giving them free everything!
How about promoting education and making it affordable for LEGAL U.S. citizens?

The people can only do so much when city, county, state and federal governments keep getting into everything a person does or uses; when the government keeps stealing from LEGAL U.S. citizens and kissing the asses of corporate lobbyists and bleeding-heart Liberals.

I have no answers, unfortunately. This is just a little rant. I would be happy and grateful to see ideas and solutions thrown out just to give me hope and optimism knowing that there is some encouraging outlook to the future of the United States and its LEGAL citizens.

I'll admit this administration took its eyes off the ball, but every politician likes to strut the international stage and do big-talk power-politics with world leaders. Its an ego thing. They only care about us because we have the vote...

Well that depends on what you want. If you want good health care, good education, care for the elderly, helping working mothers, helping the rich, helping the poor, developing new industries, self-reliant people, self-confidence, cooperation, strong-social control, strong military, isolation from the rest of the world... Some of this the US has in abundance, and others its woefully lacking... I love america's self-confidence and self-reliance. But I believe a govt should take care of those in society who can't care for themselves without the charity of other members of society. Charity is picky - the govt should care about all people equally. The US has some social programs but I feel so bad when I see a guy holding up a sign saying he's a returned serviceman and he needs some money. Damn. He has given so much and gotten so little.

It depends on what you want and your source of income. Costa Rica, Panama and to a lesser extent New Zealand are becoming retirement destinations due to lower costs.

All around, no. Most of the other countries treat their citizens like babies who have candy to be taken.

Canada has Mark Stein on trial for telling the truth about muslims.

Germany put a man in jail for repeating the delusion that the Holocaust didn't happen.

England doesn't trust it's citizens to own guns. Neither does Australia.

Japan has the pretty babes, but they're terribly racist and provincial.

China will forcibly abort your second child.

Sweden is socialist, as is the rest of Europe.

Mexico's coming here.

No, there's really no other place to be if you want to be free.
