Sit down, shut up, keep your hands on your lap, or your going to jail. This is what we have come to, a bunch of cattle.

I have been to plenty of graduations, people always applaud and cheer when the names are called. You like being one of the robots don't you, hell you probably think we should be told when we should breath.

There are other ways of disciplining rather that arresting someone. Hell these days it's the full extent of the law. This is crap, now they will have a record for saying "yay".

What I want to know is since when did the police become enforcers of rules vs the law?

I have been to graduations where everyone is supposed to hold all applause until after everyone's name has been called.

Also, the police do not make the rules at graduations. Nice try to push your "police state" theories when it isn't even close in this situation.

It's not the job of the police to enforce rules. It's their job to enforce the law.

The law defines a disturbance very narrowly. You can't allow others to redefine on the spot as they see fit and then expect people to equate that to the law. That's ridiculous, the law doesn't work that way, and it's a violation of the 1st Amendment.
