Thread: Obamas VP Conundrum

If he chooses Hillary for VP, he loses, because her negatives are the highest of any presidential hopeful in history,.... & there's Bill. If he doesn't, he has a bunch of women & "white blue collar workers" that will be pissed off even more than they are now.

I don't think he will pick Hillary and if her supporters the "woman and white blue collar workers" (whatever a white blue collar worker is) were voting for Hillary based on her message, they will all come around to voting for Obama.

She certainly used that phrase often enough.

You actually think that Hillary supporters who liked her because she wanted out of Iraq, wanted universal health care and to repeal the Bush tax cuts are going to now vote for someone against all three? Maybe people in Texas think that way but not elsewhere.

Certain segments of Hillary voters will not vote for Obama, no matter what the issues are. That's USA wide, not just Texas.

You are right, the racists in this country will not vote for a black guy come hell or high water but all of the Hillary supporters who are not racist will vote for Obama, and that will be plenty. There are alot of repubs who know the war was a royal mistake and will not vote for someone who wants to continue it. I would say their numbers will overwhelm the racists.

BTW-Hillary voted for the war, last time I checked, she was not a repub. Several of the dems voted to give bush the authority.

Hillary's supporters will vote for Obama when all is said & done in any case. She doesn't need to be on the ticket....& won't be. Chuch Hagel is my choice for Obama's running mate.
