    Scum rising to the top...

As we all know an e-mail box is as accessible as air. Just about anything can show up in it and mine is no exception. I received this from the group Human Events.com, a low life Republican misinformation organization. Now you'll see their strategy for trying to elect McCain as President.
Be ready people this is going to be one ugly campaign but in the end I'm sure most people will see how really sick the right has become.

We must act today to keep the White House in the hands of Republicans!

To win the 2008 election, Republicans must accomplish this one very important goal - win just 25% of the black vote.
But how do we win 25% of the black vote? Most black voters favor conservative policies - not liberal ones. They do not support higher taxes, surrendering in Iraq, partial birth abortion and same-sex marriage. For middle class blacks, voting their values NOW means voting Republican.

That's why we must act immediately to get the ball rolling on our proven 2008 VICTORY PLAN to educate and bring these black voters back to the Party of Lincoln.

Our 4-step 2008 Victory Plan: • Recruit and train black church and community leaders to spread our conservative Republican message

    • Script, produce and air our hard-hitting radio and TV ads for black radio and TV outlets

    • Put up MLK billboards across America

    • Publish and distribute our very effective magazine, The Black Republican

I think you see how our 2008 VICTORY PLAN will stop the Democrats, from HILLARY CLINTON and BARACK OBAMA at the top all the way down to the bottom of the ticket.

For the record MLK voted not only for Kennedy but also Johnson before he was assassinated. These people are counting on the uneducated and the uniformed to push this agenda. We can't let them succeed. Each and every one of us must take it upon ourselves to educate people against this propaganda. By knowing your enemy you can defeat them.

The younger King voted for Kennedy, and for Democrat Lyndon B. Johnson four years later. In that election, King publicly denounced the Republican candidate, Barry Goldwater.

It's kind of strange, this attempt by conservatives to claim MLK as their man - it's like with George Orwell. I think this probably stems from people actually believing the caricatures of opposing political movements they present - the evil, liberal, pinko commie who hates freedom. Then, when faced with speeches about the content of your character or books critical of the Soviet Union; it doesn't make sense to them that this could be perfectly compatible with long-term and open associations with democratic socialism.

No conservative would ever want to claim that communist agitator and fraud as "their man."

In deed. You'd think some US citizens would get this.

For example, here's what Republican Jesse Helms had to say about King:

Mr. President, in light of the comments by the Senator from Massachusetts (Mr. Kennedy), it is important that there be such an examination of the political activities and associations of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., principally from the beginning of his work in the civil rights movement in the mid 1950s until his death in 1968. Throughout this period, but especially toward the beginning and end of his career, King associated with identified members of the Communist Party of the United States (CPUSA), with persons who were former members of or close to the CPUSA, and with CPUSA front organizations. In some important respects King's civil rights activities and later his opposition to the Vietnam war were strongly influenced by and dependent on these associations.

Yet, they actually think they can pull this off?
