I'm Going to Vote for McCain Now!!!

I was doing alittle research on the internet today and I came across an article that was extemely disturbing. Apparently, Barack Hussein Obama wants to implement the bill S2438 Global Poverty Act, which would tax Americans to decrease the proportion of people in the world who make less than 1 dollar per day in half.

Also added in the bill is the United State's commitment to releive international poverty throughout the world. This bill puts us under the control of the United Nations, giving them more power over our sovereignty. What is weird is that Obama's bill is obfuscated by the term "Millenium Develpment Goal."

I am officialy going to cast my vote for McCain unless someone can find me a bill similar to this that McCain is signing.

If a candidate has been nominated for a party they all have the same intentions. It doesn't matter unless we all band together and vote third party collectively.

The Gov knows We the People do not care enough to make a stand, or even pay attention for that matter. They will move forward on every agenda, and we'll all take it in the butt complaining of the sting..

I have no problem sharing ideas with other countries and teaching them ways to better themselves, but I don't want to invest my tax money in other countries for any reason whatsoever. We have poverty and other problems in this country that we can invest tax payer money in. This is just another bill that gives the U.N. power to over the United States and I'm pissed off about it.

I agree. But you need to be careful here, you'll be accused of just not caring.
I doubt that Mccain has anything like this bill but he has some pretty bad ones that he has signed onto. One is the "campaign finance reform bill", another one is "amnesty".

At some point, it is in America's best interest to be a good steward beyond our borders. I don't see the big deal, MOA.

Like Obama isn't for Amnesty? I have my problems with McCain on issues like the war in Iraq, Immigration and campaign finance reform, but I don't want an Obama as our president. He would be worse than McCain as far as Im concerned.

The big deal is that it is estimated to cost us over 850 million dollars over the next seven years. When the government gives you and estimate, multiply it by 3 and you will get the real answer.

I don't want Americans to have to pay for this, and I don't want the U.N. to have more power over American sovereignty. These are big deals.

I have a better idea. Why doesnt the government hire a personal team with a combined salary of 2 million dollars to collect charity all over the United States to help countries, in need, develop infastructure and busnesses. This team should also lobby corporations to do the same. Oh wow, we just found a way to save 850 billion dollars.

So it's ok for your tax dollars going to Iraq, but you can't support a bill that would try to allieviate suffering on a global basis?

Quite a foolish line of thought.

Yes. This information has been around for a while though and the American people don't seem to care. Firstly, I'm glad you care. Secondly, voting for McCain is not a long term solution to these kinds of policies. Senator McCain may not propose this bill, but who is to say that he wouldn't sign it? These are the kind of reckless, globalist policies that will destroy this country. For whatever reason, Democrats and Neo-Cons believe that we should be entangled in the affairs of others and that our governments job extends beyond preserving and protecting the integrity of our Constitution and enforcing the rights of the people defined within. McCain doesn't care about the rights of Americans anymore than Obama does. Both of them will sell us out to global corporations and force us to invest in the welfare of our enemies and of people to whom we have given no consideration. Remember, you cannot be trusted to decide whether or not to give charity, therefore your government wants to help you out by forcing you to give charity at the point of a gun.

You'll come across that here. If you don't want vast amounts of your time spent pointing all instances of it out, best to ignore. But welcome to Political Hotwire! We're not all completely delusional. Just mostly.
