To travel to Israel and to associate a sitting American senator and your possible successor in the Oval Office with those who at one time gave comfort to an enemy of the United States is, in and of itself, an act of political treason.

Explain how this is true in light of our American President traveling to Israel to denounce a participant in the next election, which flies directly in the face of what he had already pledged not to do.

If our enemies have consistent examples that our leader does not value his own word as law, then is that not providing comfort to our enemies?

First, I still believe in "politics stop at the waters edge", I believed that when two dem congressmen went to Saddams back yard & denounced Bush & his policies before the war with Iraq. I believed it when Nancy pelosi & Kerry took it upon themselves to go to Syria & hobnob with that terrorist supporter, I wish Bush had not made the staements he did today.
While he didn't mention Obama by name, I think that's who he was talking about. I also wish Bush had made those statements in the US, because I agree with them.

Well said. But, Israel has a vital interest in affairs related to Iran. Iran after all has sworn to destroy them and left no ambiguity about it. So I think that W was using that opportunity to tell our freinds that we still support them. All that to say that we probably should talk to Iran as it would show that we are the bigger man(gender neutral) in middle east diplomacy. Of course it will do no good to talk to them because they are still going to arm thenselves to the teeth and start a war for their own religious reasons which are also their political reasons.

We can't know that without unilateral direct talks. All assertions to the contrary are couched in opinion.

Isn't Bush providing comfort to our enemies by going soft on North Korea?
