Bush: Economy is going to 'come on'

MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. (AP) -- President Bush said the slow growth of the economy is "not good enough for America," but new rebate checks will inject some life and spending soon.
    Dumbfucks remarks here...........

I think he has lost it. Some of the neocons can either correct me if I am wrong or continue to cover for this clown, but didn't this jerk say the economy is doing great. Well now it's going to "Come On" what ever the fuck that means. His blackmailing of the American people isn't going to help nearly as much as it's going to hurt the economy.

Globalization. We have failed miserably trying to compete with foreign labor, ie.. China and India. (I know, it's hard to believe) Now we are paying for buying cheap foreign goods and outsoucing jobs. The U.S. economy is tanking while China and India are experiencing unimaginable economic growth. Who's idea/agenda was this anyway? Drive down labor costs globally and reap huge profits.

The idea probably reaches back a few administrations. I always thought it was the policy of a president to set things straight, however that has not been the case for a long time. This is number one reason the this nation needs real change. I am beginning to think that it maybe too late however.

The economy will "come on", it always does. Don't know when, but it will.

Look at the tremendous economic growth of China and India. Talk about foreign aid. We gave them our manufacturing jobs, our high tech jobs, and so on; we bought cheap goods and services from them. Now they are fast becoming the new economic superpowers replacing the U.S., Europe and Japan. And as a result the price of everything is going through the roof. Globalization, the great equalizer.

Well this is going to be a rough ride, the dollar continues to collapse at an all time record rate. Before the economy can even start to come back there must be some drastic changes made. We have not seen that as of yet, in fact we have seen the opposite.

As the dollar continues it's crash oil prices will continue to climb and that will effect every part of the economy in a very negative way. This is but one reason we need to see changes.

The wife and I went shopping yesterday day and noticed empty shelves, it was odd as we went to Fred Meyer, we have been going to the same store for nearly 7 years, maybe longer, and never saw this before.

I agree with you. However, I still believe that we will do ok. We'd do a lot better if we stopped the nonsense that is NAFTA & some other trade agreements for sure. We should also stop a lot of foreign aid.

You still think that we will do okay? No offense but are you an eternal optimist? And what is George Bush smoking?
