The tradition of free trade and the creation of large international bureaucracies have created a global economy governed by forces that exist out of the control of any one nation. Now that the world's economies are mutually dependent, truly, what happens in Iran and Germany effects what happens in the United States and Australia.

Americans are no longer in charge of their own economic destinies and I was just curious if people felt good about this, or if it causes some concern.
