Thread: Nader says Washington run by corporations

WATERBURY, Conn., April 28 (UPI) -- Presidential candidate Ralph Nader told an audience in Connecticut Sunday the U.S. government has been taken over by big business.

When the government is no longer the government then what steps should we take. I have an idea but it gets rather messy.

"Think of that," Nader said. "We've lost our government."

Nader is right about many things. Which is why I voted for him in 2000, and make no apologies to my fellow Democrats for this. He gets it.

Nader is a whore who will say anything to get some attention, votes.

He wasn't always this way, but he sure is now. That's why his OWN PARTY rejects him.

If you are talking about the Green party, they aren't really his. He just ran under them because it's the only way he could. The fact he was prohibited from participating in the presidential debates in 2000 and 2004 kind of tells you something, doesn't it?

He's not trying to get attention or votes for any other reason than to be heard. He has some very valuable ideas about third parties and the democratic system, one which he argues (and rightfully so) has been hijacked by special interests and corporate money.

DC ran by corporations? Yes, they are. In fact, I can't remember when they weren't.
So what's going to happen now that Nadar has said that, again?
He's always been right about it, but like RP, he is a threat to the DC establishment & will never get the job he seeks.
We are doomed to tweedle dee & tweedle dum....until it all falls apart, or voters take their obligation to this country seriously. Until then, learn to speak Spanish, Chinese, or head for the hills.
Sometimes I thik most voters just want to be on the "winning side" & vote "conventionally". After we "win", we find that we lose.
