Thread: Wow Reverend Wright is such and "Asshole"

I just have to get this off my chest. Reverend Wright has got to be the biggest asshole on the face of the Earth. Barack Obama has denounced commits made by Reverend Wright, but has never renounced Reverend Wright. He has stuck by Wright throughout his campaign even though he has lost many vote because of the man. Obama has not even distanced himself from the guy. So now this "Rev" shows up at a dinner or something, instead of hiding like he should be. But that is not what bothers me. Wright's comments are what bothered me. He said that Obama goes out as a politician and says what he has to say as a politician. "I do what I do, he does what a politician does," Wright added. Okay so Obama's whole campaign has been about how he is different from every other politician and Wright comes out and says that Obama is just like all the rest, after Obama stuck with him. As stated before Reverend Wright is such an "asshole" and I cannot stress that enough.

Like I said on the other wright thread, maybe wright doesn't want Obama in the WHite House.

It went down very simply. He's a politician. I'm a pastor. We speak to two different audiences. And he says what he has to say as a politician. I say what I have to say as a pastor. Those are two different worlds. I do what I do, he does what politicians do. So what happened in Philadelphia where he had to respond to the soundbites, he responded as a politician.

It sounds like he's stating publicly that Barack Obama is lying (what else do politicians do?). Moreover, it implies that Obama really does believe in what "Rev." Wright has been preaching, but has to deny it in front of his political "audience."

If the media weren't treating Obama with kid gloves, he'd be finished right now.

What a stupid distraction all of this is. You'd think Rev. Wright was running for office. This issue could not be more irrelevant to the choice at hand. Couldn't you folks find something of substance to be all indignant about?

So you Rev. Wright haters, do you feel the same about McCain seeking the endorsement of hate-mongering television evangelists like Hagee?

This is something to substance to indignant about. Barack Obama has spent decades listening to the hateful racist remarks of this Wright character. He has no business being President of the United States.

I certainly do, and I've started multiple threads on the issue when both Mike Huckabee and Juan McCain got cozy with Hagee.

BS. Listening to a preacher does not make you unfit to serve. The assertion that is does is pure crap.

If you can somehow prove that he ACTUALLY believes and endorses the Wright comments you object to, that would be one thing. But, you can't because there is no indication at all that he does. You just assume he does because you want a reason to reject Obama. There is no there there.

Stop acting like a pawn.
