Al Gore is going to push a $1.2 Trillion tax package through congress in a couple of months. The politicians on both sides of the isle will capitulate as it is the GREEN thing to do. It's all a lie, global warming is a hoax and there the real threat may very well be an ice age. Now to top this off it would seem that Al Gore's movie was based on a work of fiction.

This needs to stop, we can't afford any new taxes and we do not every aspect of our environment controlled by these people.

michael some of your observations are spot on, but in this case you're way off...I mean what's the purpose of a GW hoax???... how do you get 50,000 scientists to agree to the hoax and not expect it to be leaked out at some point...the Ice age thing is well and truly dead, consensus is that even if there was no AGW we are coming out of an Ice Age not going into one....

Gore documentary based on fiction....no, just borrowed a CG from a movie to show what had actually happened, it's not like they can keep a helicopter hovering 24/7 waiting for a piece a glacier to break off, it happened that no one was there to film it doesn't mean it didn't happen....this has been done for documentaries for decades it doesn't make it fiction...want to make a documentary about a hurricane 100yrs ago borrow some Katrina footage, does it make the hurricane a 100 yrs ago fiction, of course not...

When did Al Gore get re-elected or appointed to the House or Senate?

All the 50,00 scientists agree on is that man made Co2 aggravates any naturally occurring warming trend. They don't agree on how much, whether it's a problem or if it is even a major influence. You must have missed the hand-off to the politicians and the press who take what the scientists agree on and turn it into ratings and power.

This page has an analysis of the reactions to ads that are trying to target both "conservatives" and "liberals" on the global warming front. Pretty interesting.

Who cares about al gore? You should stop seeing the world through the tiny and completely unimportant american political system.
Yes we don't know exactly how man made CO2 impacts the environment, or whether or not the planet will cool/warm. Is it really important? We know as a fact CO2 is a warming gas impacting the environment and that more is produced (naturally or by man) than nature can handle and recycle. That alone should tell us to be careful and try to reduce our emissions.

Lets look at the so called deadly effects of CO2, plants inhale the stuff then plants exhale oxygen, Yeppers real bad stuff. A warmer planet is more suitable for mammals, and plant life. There will always be cool areas in the oceans for cool water fish, no problems there.

So I just don't get the hype, oh except for a global carbon tax with strict environmental controls from a bunch of control fanatics.

Ummm no they don't because GLOBAL warming scientists work in the wider GLOBE i.e. the rest of the earth. There may be one or two small errors in the USA but that does not mean that Australia has it wrong, that England has it wrong, that South Africa has it wrong...............
