Yes. First thing to do is decide of it's worse for the globe to be warmer or not.

Then we have to determine what caused the warming, if we decide it's a problem.

Then we have to determine if there's anything we can do to affect that cause.

None of that's been done yet, especially not the first step.

BTW, If you would read your history you would learn that man did not know about nuclear energy until the mid 20th century. Until then, it was thought the sun ran on coal...This is how very new man's knowledge of earth science is. Man did not know about continental drift until 1950. Now all of a sudden overnight we know every possible variable involved in the climate and temperature cycles on the Earth. Mankinds knowledge base is not even close to being able to make the conclusions SOME of these scientists are making.

Alpher (and with Bethe, I believe) published a paper promoting thermonuclear fusion as the energy source for stars in the early 1930's.

That paper is accepted as the correct explanation for the radiance of stars today.

It was recognized by the late 19th century that all known forms of energy, including gravitational collapse, were inadequate at reconciling the known age of the earth with the observed fact of solar radiance.
