And Then They Wonder Why They Get Used By Politicians

Obama Panders to Just About Anyone

The Huffington Post Web site reported Friday that Obama, speaking of some Pennsylvanians' economic anxieties, told supporters at the San Francisco fundraiser: "You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years. ... And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."
They've been living in a town where "the jobs have been gone for 25 years"?

    They ain't bitter, they's barnacles.

Normal people would have gone to where the work is. It's not like anyone's ever owed them a living, you know.

That includes you, Osama, if you're planning on robbing everyone else to give these people some pocket change.

Here's what needs to be done in Washington, Obie:

Real change, not your concept of reshuffling the payout cards and raising the taxes.

How about promising to obey the Constitution, dude?

No, the article is about Obama proclaiming that a workingman is so stupid that if he gets frustrated over poor economic opportunities he's going to rush out and vote for someone promising more (or less) gun control, or promising to let (or stop) the queers from getting married or other such nonsense.

It might make sense to a Democrat, but it makes no sense at all.

They take refuge in their faith and their community, and their family, and the things they can count on. But they don't believe they can count on Washington.
This is why his comment was rather relevant, to the least, helping elevate these issues to a level of importance. The President has the power to veto such bills them anyway. The US is to go under a recession, things aren't looking good.

So then they vote on something not relevant to their problem.

How many families actually have a direct issue with gay rights? How many regularly go for abortions? How many actually have an issue with politics and faith? I would love to know these answers, but what we could currently consider is that 'not many'. Directly influencing political factors that aren't even directly affecting. For that matter, though I don't support political figures, I think it is relevant.

How many families actually have a direct issue with gun-control? It's a clear guess in my view. Anyone with the slightest understanding can tell you that the average american lives a fairytale where 'right' and 'wrong' are defined time and again, specially during elections. The less money you have, the more vocal you are over policies and campaigning.

More weak rhetoric about Obama.... good to see no one has really dug up any "dirt" on the guy.
    Yep, he's our next president.

Apart from BBC, I think other forms of media are very very hypocritical. BBC at least has investigative global journalism alive today, and that is very commendable. The others, for that matter, do not maintain ethical standpoints in the modern world. From CNN to ABC, its' all highly competitive, hence whatever information we get is prejudiced - that said, we hear what others want us to hear.

Although, its' an industry I would like to own a part of one day for ethical reasons (hopefully) I have lost a great deal of respect for the general media and their hypocritical points of view. To me, for what we have here to consider - is the most ideal public servant for the job. Whether anyone likes it or not, he is an educated person with a good vocal background. I would prefer McCain over Hillary, and with that the Iraqi war will continue forever if the general educated population feels the same on a majority, especially for families of the troops who will feel the greatest pinch of it all.
