President George W. Bush is “the biggest thug” ever to occupy the White House, writes historian Michael Parenti, adding that most post-World War II U.S. presidents have also acted like “thugs.”

His “thug” list includes Presidents John Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and Bill Clinton. Conspicuously absent from his list are Republican Dwight Eisenhower and Democrat Jimmy Carter.

What the thugs have in common, Parenti says, is their dedication “to a U.S. global interventionist policy” and support for “gargantuan, bloated, criminally wasteful military budgets” to execute those interventions.

It is totally amazing in a disgusting way what this country of ours has done and how many we have allowed or government to kill around the world. Anyway, way to go Georgie, your legacy is set in stone.

I think the best thing the United States can do is withdrawl for the UN. Those guys get us in trouble everytime. It's like your mom and dad telling you they don't like the friends you hang out with. It would be nice if the UN wouldn't use the US military as the World's police force when they need somthing done.

Sounds like the historian is allowing his preconceived ideas and biases get in the way of his judgement

Sounds like his definition of a thug is on spot, and by that definition then he is correct. I fear Bush is only getting started on his killing rampage.

I too hope and pray that President Bush takes down the Iranians before the end of his term.

Well your not with me then, I think it would be a sin to go to war with Iran.

Bush is a murdering thug, and his brain damage from all the years of drugging and boozing makes him very unstable.

Our church does not have a preacher.

Too small

I have no special desire to kill Iranians (despite my make them bleed comment).

I would like to see large portions of their nuclear weapons infrastructure and conventional mlitary pulverized though.

Because of the future threat they represent and because of their actions in causing trouble for the U.S. in Iraq. Their actions have directly caused the deaths of a number of U.S. soldiers.

Well I believe that you stated in the past your desire to go to war with Iran.

They signed the NPT, in other words they are allowed to have nuclear energy. Israel makes all this shit up and want us to believe it, then do their fighting. We can't go around haphazardly attacking nations, killing millions for nothing less then self defense. Israel has nukes, Egypt might have them, India and Pakistan does, Iran claims they don't want them and there is no evidence that they are lying. Bush on the other hand is, as is Israel.

I will never believe any thing bush says, but that matters not. The IAEA, you know the guys that got it right about Iraq, and our own intelligence agencies say that they are not. Good enough for me.
