    Iraq Spinning Out Of Control....Again!

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Thousands of supporters of Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr marched in Baghdad on Thursday to protest against a three-day-old crackdown against his followers and call for the downfall of the U.S.-backed government.
More than 100 people have been killed and hundreds wounded since the government launched its crackdown in the southern city of Basra on Tuesday. Clashes have split Iraq's majority Shi'ite community and shattered a ceasefire declared last year by Sadr

Add to that, things are so bad that we will be stopping the withdrawal of our GI's (who are now really needed in Afghanistan) this summer & keeping them on the bullseye in Iraq until GW Bush is able to climb out the Oval Office window next January, when his term is mercifully up, & leave the middle east mess to his successor.
American GI's are being killed at a faster rate this month, our economy is spiraling down towards .....who knows where it will stop, gasoline & heating oil are unfordable, our jobs are in China, our military/Nat'l Guard are at the breaking point, our homes are losing their value & being foreclosed on while this administration backstops it's rich buddies only, my tax money is being spent in Iraq while my Grand children's school is begging parents to donate pencils & on & on!
How anyone can defend the worst Presidency in the history of this nation is just beyond me!

    Time for coffee!

Don't forget to include the fact our dollar has lost about 35% of its value since Bush took over.

So, when is congress going to stop this war, as they promised they would? All it takes is for them to quit funding it.

Kinda hard to do when half of those in congress are for the war.

Nope, just asking that congress keeps their promise.
Are you trying to defend their lies?

Why? Dems control congress & all the comittees, including the $$$. They could've made it simple by not even bringing the war spending bill to the floor.

The democrats do have some responsibility to this war. They won Congress on the message they were going to end this war and bring the troops home. What have they done since they took over?

I don't blame the democrats for the wasteful spending and the mismanagement of this war. That's all George Bush. This country is on the wrong path domestically and globally. That's the reason I'm voting for Obama in 2008. I want him to end this war in Iraq. I want the United States to rebuild our relationship with our allies, I want the United States to regain some respect back in the international community and the only way I see that happening is bringing in someone with fresh ideas and the eloquence to pull it off, that's Obama.

I agree with all you said except that "Obama will stop this war" He won't, none of them will.

I don't know if he can or not either, because I know playing arm-chair-President is a pretty easy job. When you have the responsibility to make the real decision things become a little tougher. But I still think Obama is the right person to get this done.

For me it's not just about the war, it's about re-establishing this country and getting it back on track. I'm a Republican and I believe that Obama is the only person in this country that's going to be able to unite us. He has the charisma, he eloquence, he has the intelligence and most importantly he has the diversity to bring something new to this country.
