Gov. Paterson admits to sex with other woman for years

The thunderous applause was still ringing in his ears when the state's new governor, David Paterson, told the Daily News that he and his wife had extramarital affairs.

In all fairness, he said that he and his wife both cheated while they were having problems. They have since been through therapy and restored their relationship.

Now, is this a good thing? Obviously not. Now my next statement is not meant to defend him or her.

How many normal, everyday Americans have been through the exact same thing? While it's bad, it's also indicative of him being human. They outed themselves, and were not trying to hide anything.

He broke a standard, a trust. He is a scumbag.

just because it is a governor taking too much viagra is not wrong, he didnt hide it, everyday men do it all the time and it doesnt make headline news

It is wrong, even he admits that.

The only saving grace he has is that he came foward with it, without covering up any details. I want to see more honesty like this, but I would rather it come BEFORE we elect the scum bags.

Of course it's "wrong", but, at least Gov Paterson wasn't running around arresting & investigating his honeys competition. I don't believe that Paterson abused his office or his powers.

I know what your saying Migie, but infidelity is a sign of dishonesty. If he can't be faithful to his wife, why would we trust him to be faithful to the public. I don't see any difference between the two men except Patterson was more forthcoming with the truth.

Like I said, his only saving grace.
