And JOM doesn't want to loose his bet that HRC will be the nominee. The GOP want her to be the nominee because she has a great deal of baggage they feel they can use against her in the election. (why do you think that Rush has called on repubs to vote for her in the primaries.) She too has spiritual leaders that are subject to scrutiny if we are going to play the spiritual leader game, we could post a great deal about David Coe.

I don't know, but it's fun watching you have a tantrum about it.

    1) Maybe we as a society have been so clobbered by what is perceived as monumental institutional lies to makes a nation perpetually at war that we might LONG to address the often justifiable anger of a very significant ethnic group in the United States.

    2) Maybe we as a society have grown more sophisticated and discerning about what is a very complex issue: ethnic equality. And maybe we aren't nearly as shocked as those who are threatened by blacks seeking a more critical voice in democratic our process.

    3) Maybe this story will cause the media--mainstream as well as the underwear set--to ask some tough questions, like, "do most blacks feel they are fairly represented by our governement?," "are blacks finding their standard of living to be disproportionately higher or lower than whites?," "is it possibly true that educational policy, healthcare policy and housing policy is unfairly tilted against blacks?"

Maybe you can find it in your head and heart to ask why a church might rally behind such inflammatory rhetoric, before you simply judge it as "evil"* or hate speech.

*Personally, I don't believe "evil" exists as an entity. There are acts that could be called evil, but "people" themselves are not "evil." Just to clarify my opinion...

What are you talking about? I turned off CNN Friday night because they weren't discussing anything EXCEPT Wright's remarks. As of thirty seconds, ago, there's still at least one reference to Wright's remarks on the front-page of CNN.com, and two references on FoxNews.com, and two or three (depending on how you count them) on news.google.com, which isn't even generated by humans.

If you're describing a mainstream media blackout of the story, it's a pretty terribly-managed one.

I heard about it on CNN international. I'm not sure you can get much more mainstream than that. Do you expect reporters to froth at the mouth and rant in spite of any objectivity that they may portray?

Seriously, is there anyone out there that did not previously have a negative opinion of Wright? When politicians stop aligning themselves with idiot preachers (a bit redundant) I will be most pleased.

I thought JOM and Hannity told me the liberal media was ignoring it. Some conflicting reality going on here.

I think the MSM has been showing how wonderful of a guy Spitzer is and has been too busy to cover it.

I do not have that bet with anyone. I have a bet that Hillary will win Pennsylvania in the primaries. That is all.

I stand corrected about CNN but not the others. I did see some of it on CNN today. They tempered it with a long thing on how candidates deal with false accusations in smear campaigns right after. As if to imply that is what the Wright thing is.
