Evidently Paul is gaining support and some credit where its due. While its hard to agree with Paul on all of his values, its good to see that people are listening and even a little action has come out of it. Say what you will about the man, but many of his points are solid and are more than worth the attention.

The funny part is if the Lefties really wanted to get out of Iraq and

Afghanistan as well as supporting an ideology that draws the US

away from being the Worlds police force they would vote for Paul.

I heard on the radio today that Coburn is now called 'Dr No.' I wanted to call them and tell them how unoriginal they are considering that was Paul's nickname years ago.

They also would have shown up to Kucinich and McKinney's rally last weekend. But apparently they don't actually care since Bush isn't attached to it.

Apparently it's the righties that aren't funding the troops. Good for them. It's about time they go on Kucinich's side and just fail to ever bring it to vote so that all the troops have to come home.

Great! I hope this is legit and grows.

Call me when more than one or two elected officials in Washington are willing to throw their weight behind Ron Paul.

Hell, I liked Kucinich's policies more than Obama's. But I never deluded myself into thinking that Kucinich had even the most remote shot at succeeding.

How about 317 of them? You haven't heard? That's 3/4 of the entire Congress! WTF are you talking about? ???

He does now. Now that people are waking up to what a true liberal is, again.

This is the right thing to do, and now's the right time to do it. We need to take our country back.

i don't know man, sometimes I think tough love may work. I often think if we allow the establishment to continue their path of destruction, then maybe people will get it. Hell Obama is the right man for this job, he and his bankers have devastated the economy, and early next year, people will demand their removal.

No... That's support for a single bill. I'm talking about showing support for Ron Paul as a future president. Last time around, Ron Paul scored one congressional endorsement out of some 530-odd congress members. That's not just poor; that's piss-poor. Especially for someone who's had 188(?) years to make the political connections necessary for a presidential run. And if you can't make connections, you're gonna suck when it comes to international diplomacy.

Not feasible. There is no possible way to "take our country back" without handing control to the Republicans or Democrats. Supporting a third-party or dark horse candidate is a hollow gesture that won't have any meaning on or after election day.

The only vaguely viable measure would be to somehow implement runoff voting, in which a voter could select three voters in descending order of preference. Under such a system, voters would be free to cast their primary vote(s) for independents and dark horses, while using the third slot for their mainstream candidate - just in case the first one(s) don't make the cut. Of course, such a radical change to our voting system would have to be approved by our Democratic and Republican Congress, which is highly unlikely to support a measure that would weaken both parties.

Getting "major" support for Ron Paul, Kucinich, or anyone else is like getting the entire population of Florida to defiantly spit into an incoming hurricane. Sure, it's a grand gesture. But they're still gonna get fucked, and after the hurricane hits, no one is going to remember the gesture.

The *last* thing we need is a dumbshit libertarian in republican clothing.

Call me when he starts giving a fuck about his fellow man and the general welfare - actually, don't; I dont waste my time with libertarians.
