As a matter of fact Dayton....I do! ( I have actual videotape recordings of these meetings where Bush & Cheney agree to keep the FBI off the backs of big oil & let them break any law they want........for $400,000.00 ("Protection Money"-in cash) paid to them ...on the spot! ...... Cheney is also heard mumbling something about wanting to blow the head off a lawyer with a shotgun & that he would get away with it....scott free! )...Watching the tapes right now, as I type....(pass the popcorn)

Presidents have meetings with all sorts of people all the time and those private conversations are protected just as they always have been. The Dems know this is are just trying to make political hay out of it. Presidents do not control the price of gas, they have no mechanism to do so, it all goes back to the spot market and the price of crude oil.

As for the Gas yes due to the environmental wack jobs in this country we cant drill anywhere meanwhile everyother fuckjob country that has oil off its coast's and anywhere else drills just so they can join OPEC and squeeze the US even more.

We need to drill our own then undercut OPEC everywhere we can. drive the price of oil down until they go bankrupt. I know it would not happen but I would like to stick it to them but good.

There were stories last week or the week before about new estimates of trillions yes trillions of barrels under the arctic shelf, we know that estimates of natural gas reserves go up every year, we had no idea how much is off the coast of California. All we need to do is pass the bills to allow such exploration and watch the price come down. The mere threat that we will start drilling our own will have a marked effect.

So what explains the dramatic plunge in U.S. gasoline & heating oil prices just before the Nov. 2006 elections (at a time crude oil prices were rising) & the immediate rise after the election....AND....what will explain this same phenomenon when it happens again say..........Oh, I don't know.......maybe next November???

AND THE BIG QUESTION IS:

Why are all the little socialists, both Republican and especially Democrat, whining? The only thing happening is the mailman's delivering the bill for 70 years of social welfare spending.
