This scenario is dead on:
CEO of Exxon-Mobil calls his buddy GW Bush & says: "Mind if me & the boys come over for a secret meeting with you & Dicky (Cheney) today? We are planning to fix prices, become richer than our wildest dreams & I can guarantee you & Dicky will have very comfortable retirements when you are no longer "Our Boys" in the White House. Just to show you we are serious, I've deposited the usual 3 million dollars in your "offshore" bank acount!! (wink, wink)
Maybe you should complicate the shit out of it so I would understand. Because I like to look at greed in the oil industry from a historical context. I fail to see your total lack of understanding about why people think of big oil as being evil. Please enlighten me with your expertise or are you blowing smoke again. Let me ask you a question. Are you a direct descendant of the Rockefellars or the Phillips Brothers?
And of course you do have some evidence to back up your assertion? You do know that Presidents meet with all kind of people and that those conversations are protected? Now if you want to talk about illegal secret meetings let's talk about Hillary's health care task force which she has never disclosed who they met with and who got paid. Do you know the difference between the two groups.
So what were the things that came out of these meetins you are claiming caused the current price of crude oil on the spot market to be so high? And can you explain why, that if they were going to do this they coluded to have a profit margin less than industry in general, why didn't they rip us off? why would they meet in secret to plan out lower profit margins than everyone else?
