Apologies for the editorialized headline, but I never liked Droopy.

    (Fucking putz.)

Washington (CNN) -- Dashing the hopes of Democratic lawmakers Sunday, Sen. Joseph Lieberman signaled he would oppose a health care bill that includes a proposal to expand Medicare to people as young as 55.

It's because his constituents are dramatically against putting a double down on a medicare system which, according to Obama himself, is atleast 500 billion a year in inefficient spending and is insolvent.

Approval for this particular plan is in the low 30s in CT, typically a rather blue state.

But his "constituents" i.e. the insurance companies, have no problem with the individual mandate, with no price controls and backed up by huge subsidies provided by the taxpayers.

Yeah, that'll save us a bundle.

I was referring to his voting constituents.

And in terms of saving money, if the bill did get voted down it would save us mone, according to the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office. I'm assuming you were being sarcastic towards this particular bill not saving us money, if so could you do me a favor and point me towards your source material on that one? It isn't inline with what I've read elsewhere.

Nonsense, he is playing the politician rule to the max. Look for him to run in the general election as an independent.
